Online French lessons with Céline
I am Céline, a Frenchwomen. I spent my childhood in Northern France in the region of the Ch’tis.
In order to communicate with my stepfamily living in Belgium up the border, I studied Dutch at the university.
After 13 years living in Amsterdam, I moved to the South of France in Toulouse.
Passionate and interested in my native culture, as well as critical to the French society, I know what it takes to learn a language and a culture thanks to my life in the Netherlands.
I am aware that the French credo “Liberté, Égalité, Fraternité” is utopian but I enjoy to investigate these terms wherever I travel.
I love to be able to observe my culture from another point of view. My political and ethical beliefs nurture discussions of all kinds during the lessons.
Rules are essential, even if I stand for “learning by doing”. It is necessary to make mistakes in order to learn properly: active learning often proves
to be more very effective. Repeating is natural to me because I’m patient by nature.
I give you tricks to learn faster, I help you to develop your own learning style by discovering your own needs, according to your personality,
interests and timetable. Good learning material, language practice and regularity are the best ways to achieve independent learning.
I try to be helpful and adaptive towards my students. I want my students to experience the learning process as relaxing,
even in the case of professional purpose training. Free of charge material acces is given, but I can also advise qualitative study books.
Many supports are being used for the learning process: music, newspapers, images, short films, literature, etc.
Improvising is sometimes important if appropriate for the learning process.
No is always a good answer. I also share my story and am constantly looking for balance in the exchange.
I offer grammatical explanations combined with many practical exercises. Each session is customized in advance in order to offer a smooth lesson and customized homework is sent in your mailbox if needed. I strive to have explanations when questions asked.
If necessary, I search for particular answers for the next lesson.
